SELF-CONTROL
BY CRISTIAN FRISON
"Self-control" is a project that born from a personal experience, a project that needs to externalize an emotion as primal as anger.
It doesn't deal with how anger can create problems to external people, but with how anger, if accumulated inside oneself, can be harmful to the individual when it reaches the limit one can bear.
"Self-control" is about how anger manages to consume the individual, an ongoing struggle with the shadow that lurks in the bowels of one's body.
"Ouroboros", is a symbol representing a snake or a dragon biting its tail, forming a circle without beginning or end, is a very ancient symbol, which represents, if associated with anger, how it devours ourselves in an endless cycle, how once we get rid of this emotion, it returns to consume us.
Sometimes we try to fight with the shadow of ourselves, which is none other than that demon that is anchored deep in our body of which we are unable to get rid and with so much effort we cannot get rid of it.
Like "Hate calls hate", anger continues to feed on the person, leading to self-destruction.
Self-control, a contradictory title to the project, aims to reflect how to control this emotion, exercising strong self-control to achieve peace with oneself.
